When we started breeding in 2012, we wanted to make a contribution to a colourful breed but needed to find a breed that was easy to manage, good at being mothers, easy birthing etc. So, for our pocket-sized smallholding up on the south Pennines and on the edge of the Peak District, we went in search of Shetland……… and accidentally discovered Iceland.
